What fathun.mv stores, and what stays on your phone.
Saved places, recently viewed places, the A–Z category order and My brands live in this browser’s storage. They are not an account — there is no password account. Clearing site data removes them.
After you reply to our WhatsApp confirmation, the link we send stores an HttpOnly cookie named fathun_submitter on this browser for about 30 days. It lets the site show that you are signed in and how many draw entries you have. It is not a password. Clearing site data removes it.
If you suggest a place, we store what you submit (a photo, a name or a link, and any phone, category, note, or which guide you were reading) so we can review it and update the directory. Don’t send a photo you don’t want kept for that review.
Pages send a first-party count to fathun.mv: the path, whether it looks like a first visit today, the referrer host, and taps on call, WhatsApp, map and similar links. Country comes from the Cloudflare edge. That counter does not store your IP address.
Each business page also keeps a running total of its views and of those taps, by month and overall. The total is a count only. It does not store a name, a phone number, or an IP address.
Opening a page with ?fathun_staff=1 (or ?staff=1) stores a fathun_staff cookie on that browser for a year and leaves it out of these counts, promo ratings, and the help chat. ?nochats=1 only keeps the chat closed.
Cloudflare also serves the site and sees the connection the way any host does.
Some pages may show a short help chat asking what you are looking for. A phone number is saved only if you tick “OK for fathun to WhatsApp me about this”. We do not message you automatically. Closing the chat is remembered on this device until the next day. Add ?nochats=1 to a page address to keep the chat closed in that tab.
